SST Validator Mobile APP

The Department recently released the SST Validator mobile app and is now available at Google Play or at Apple’s App Store. The app is used to verify the authenticity of SST ID cards issued by Department-approved course providers. If you have questions about the app, please email the Training Connect help desk at trainingconnecthelp@buildings.nyc.gov. This notice is also a reminder that course providers are required to verify someone’s identity and their training before issuing an SST ID card. If you believe someone has presented a fraudulent SST ID card or other fraudulent documentation, please take the following action:

• Photograph, scan or photocopy the front and the back of the card or document(s),

• Obtain the individual’s name and home address,

• Inquire where the individual obtained the card or document(s),

• Forward your evidence via email to the Department of Buildings at: tcintake@buildings.nyc.gov and include in the subject line “Suspected Fraudulent SST Card/Documents”.
